DESCRIPTION:
Germany, "J-Feder 504" long delay demolition timer, green-painted aluminum case, spring driven balance wheel movement with hour and day duration in a latching finger jointed green-painted wood box complete with specialized wrench, plunger assembly, and original printed instructions in German.
CONDITION:
Some of the green paint has worn off the wood case on the corners. White painted letters on the box read "J-Feder 504" and "22762 ". A small piece of paper has someone's translation of the instructions into English. Following the written instructions, the unit does start. The balance wheel and the balance spring would appear to be good. There is one empty spot in the case, so it may not have all of its accessories. Large milled ring under the cap winds the mechanism. The small knob within the larger one sets the duration of the timer. Moving the red arrow to "Geht" starts the device. These units are reported to have run for up to 21 days. Dimensions are for the wood box.
